We designed and implemented a biometric authentication system based on retina images for a client from the Netherlands. The system task is to determine the identity of the user in order to determine whether the foundation disposing of financial resources can pay to the verified person a small amount of money, enabling the purchase of food for a few days. Thanks to regular payments, it is possible to limit the effect of corruption when distributing cash, and it is possible to change the way of thinking of local people who do not have to worry about buying food every day and can start solving other important social problems.
